About Me

My name is Anna Leijon-Guth and I am a transplant from Sweden where I was born and raised. I have been working in public schools since 2002 and as a teacher/technology integrator since 2009.

This is a dream job that combines my enthusiasm and love for technology with teaching. I love finding new ways weaving technology seamlessly into the curriculum and making it relevant for teachers and students. I work collaboratively with teachers and staff. I coach and help them to implement technology in their curriculum. I also work directly with the students, fostering their responsible and effective use of technology. My strength as a teacher lies in my ability to think outside the box and implement creative solutions to problems. I enhance teachers’ lesson plans by increasing the use of technology and web 2.0 tools, utilizing available technology resources. I believe that using real-life situations as a basis for technological research, students become greater evaluative thinkers and learn how to handle challenging situations. I see myself as a teacher first, and integrator second.

I have a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Franklin Pierce University. My undergraduate degree is in in Art History with a minor in Sociology from Lund University in Sweden. I am a perpetual learner and I am currently enrolled in an online Master’s Program thru Gothenburg University in Sweden, called "Learning, Communication and Information Technology". On my spare time I attend workshops and keep active with my own Professional Learning Network to keep abreast of the ever changing nature of technology.

I live on the New Hampshire seacoast with my husband Gene and son Max. I enjoy vigorous yoga practice, hiking a 4000 footer or boogie boarding the waves in Pirates Cove. You will also find me walking our two Newfoundland dogs, Maja and Tess around town.
